KQKI FM Bayou Vista has teamed up with the festival to present the world's largest countrymusic talent contest and radio promotion. The contest spotlights some of the best and brightest talent this area has to offer. Contestants will vie for the prizes, with the 1st place winner going on to compete for the state title later this year. The state winner receives $1000.00 cash and then advances to the regional finals this fall.

9:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. - FLASH BACK

This band has been together for about 12 years. The founder of the band is the lead singer, Tracy Collins.  Followed by the rhythm guitar player, Mark Stokes. Both Mark and Tracy have been with Flashback for 12 years.  The Bass player/vocal is Ulysse Dumesnil. Ulysse has played with numerous top name bands such as the Shadows, Hot Ice, Everyday People, Good Timers, 8 easy pieces, and the well known Evangeline Made, who has an album that's being reproduced in a studio and will be on a CD soon.  Ulysse came into Flashback 10 years ago. The lead guitar, keys/vocal is Robert Dumesnil. Robert has as well played with numerous bands such as Nasty Tricks, What About Eienstien, No Strings Attached, The Trend and now Flashback. Robert has been with the group for 5 years. The newest member of the group is the drummer, Shane Wallace. Shane's from Baton Rouge and has been with the group for 1 year. Together the group plays assorted music such as Country, Old rock and roll, Swamp Pop, and Funk.  Come on out and jam with Flash Back tonight.
